Verenas story

After more than a decade in the beauty industry, Verena had had enough and wanted to try something completely new, because she realised it was time for something completely new. By a stroke of luck, she came across a job offer at a hotel as a receptionist, where she met our 'leader of the family', Ralph, for the first time. Verena's journey with us began when the hotel was taken over by the Alpin Family. From reception, she quickly rose to become deputy resort leader of the 'AvenidA Mountain Lodges Saalbach'. There she showed her passion and drive in supporting a wide range of tasks such as rostering and staff management, operational tasks and accounting preparation. Finally, she seized the opportunity to take over the management of the department, a position she still enjoys today.

Verena began her career in the hotel industry in 2016 and became part of our family in 2018. She took over the management of the department in 2019, as her potential was immediately recognised and encouraged. Verena enjoys spending time with family and friends, but also pursuing her work. She finds fulfilment in the challenges of everyday hotel life and loves taking on new tasks. A certain amount of stress really spurs her on - just like our motto #boredbystandards reflects. What she can't stand at all, however, is injustice and racism. For Verena, the Alpin Family embodies fun, joy, solidarity and appreciation, paired with challenging tasks.

Verena's funniest moment at the Avenida Mountain Lodge in Saalbach: 'A guest asking when Saalbach closes - not the gondola, not the hotel, not the restaurants, but the place itself. ;-)'
